TO THOSE WHO DON'T WANT THEIR WORK PROMOTED

Hey guys and gals! We FIND and PROMOTE people's work, we never take credit for things we haven't written, we just love sharing the things that are interesting, but if you don't want your work or pictures shown, please let me know and I'll take it off, we're not trying to harm any one here or infringe on anyone's copyrights, just late night entertainment for my friends and I after a long days of work.

We're not making money off the site, nor are we publishing anything to other places through feedburner claiming that it's our work, just a hobby of finding cool things around the internet, that's all. Sometimes we copy and paste too quickly and a link giving you credit doesn't appear, if that's the case and you DO want your work promoted, we will add in the backlink, we would love to give credit where credit is due!

Please contact me or drop a comment on any posts you guys don't want up and I'll take it off within 24 hours, thanks!

Pretty By Critty - Bridal Makeup - Tips and Tricks

So the big day is looming and you don't know how you want your makeup ... before you look at hiring an artist, let me give you some tips to help you decide what you want and who the right artist for the job is.

Go for a natural look - I know it's your special day and you want to look amazing. So look amazing as YOU. Natural makeup translates the best in pictures and you'll be showing those pictures to a lot of people for many years, so you want to look your best. You don't want to date the pictures by sporting a trend that is very hot right now, but will be over quickly (remember the 90's dark eyeliner look?). If you really feel you must have smoky eyes or whatever, add more makeup for the reception.

Avoid frosts and shimmers - I am taking all your fun away, I know! But the camera's flash and the video camera (especially if you are having it shot in HD) will play havoc with your makeup and the resulting pics and videos of your face will be wonky and distracting. Not the type of pictures or videos to treasure. So go with matte colors.

Expect to be wearing more makeup than usual - the camera flash and videographer's light will wash you out. Therefore the makeup artist will (should) be applying 25% more makeup than what you normally would wear. More blush, more eyeliner, more mascara, more everything. You might think it looks like a lot, but you will be radiant and glowing in your pictures.

Natural makeup takes a long time to do - ensure you schedule enough time to get your makeup done, at least 60 minutes. Natural makeup is much more time consuming than most dramatic looks, everything has to be perfect.

Always have a Make Up Trial - this ensures you like the artist's techniques, that they understand the look you are going for and gives you a chance to play around with colors. You have to pay for this service, but it is well worth it. Take some pictures (if the makeup artist doesn't) when it is done so you can see how the makeup translates and to remind yourself and the artist what you wanted.

Use waterproof mascara and eyeliner - it's an emotional day!
